A.K.A. – Young Warriors
Children’s Ministry
Sunday 10:00 A.M.
What will your child experience during their time with us?
Our Children’s Ministry also known as ‘Young Warriors’ focuses on children in grades 1-5.
Every Sunday morning after worship through music with the adults, we gather for an exciting time of ministry including puppets, object lessons, games, Bible stories, and prayer. The children have fun while learning the truths about God’s Word.
Each week the children are given a Bible verse to memorize and they take turns reading a story that pertains to that verse. The children have lots of fun interaction with each other while acting out skits, sometimes using puppets, to focus on the lesson so it becomes alive and real to them.
Time is given to share about what God has done in their lives during the past week and it also opens up a designated time for them to give prayer requests that the teachers can pray with them about. Our prayer times are geared to help children understand they can have a relationship with their Heavenly Father and that prayer works!
The children enjoy being creative with craft projects that go along with the lesson that they are learning. Each child’s creation is either hung up on the walls in the children’s ministry room or is taken home for their parents to enjoy.

The lessons, skits, and time of sharing allow the children to express their opinions, creativity and ideas!!
NURSERY
A.K.A. – King’s Kids
Ages Infant – Kindergarten
The nursery ministry of Shield of Faith supports parents by providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of young children during scheduled worship services on Sunday mornings and special services.
The nursery is a caring, safe, and loving environment where workers are excited and ready to minister to your child. We purpose always to have lessons for the children that include pictures for them to color and take home. We make it a point to read short books, sing songs, and then we end our morning by praying for each of them. We encourage each child to take the opportunity to pray. On occasion a child may state that he or she does not know how to pray. It’s at that time we explain to that child what prayer is, and then we proceed to teach them how to pray.

What will my child be doing ?
We believe it is a great time to start teaching children when they are young. So we share with them who Jesus is, what He does for all of us and how to be thankful to Him. We teach the young ones that God created them and loves them individually, and we also teach them to share with each other and to pray for one another.
